Talisaynons will no longer have to brave the traffic in Bacolod City just to look for a decent place to relax and meet friends while sipping iced coffee or milktea.  Munchers Café located at the corner of Capitan Sabi Extension and Sta. Monica Streets, Carmela Valley Homes, Talisay City opened its door to the public last Thursday, November 15, 2019.

This newest café in Talisay City has reasonably-priced Filipino comfort food that will not make a dent in your budget and with an ambiance that will surely appeal to the younger generations or those born in the Facebook and Instagram era.

Some notable dishes on their menu include iced drinks, like iced coffee – black, plain or flavored varieties, milkshakes, and home-made  Milktea brewed directly from dried tea leaves.  Your favorite nacho or nacho fries, lumpia shanghai, flavored French fries are also served. They also have student-friendly rice meals and sandwiches that are popular with budget-conscious individuals.

In terms of the café’s design, it subscribed to the minimalist theme, giving it a homey ambiance. The café used three basic colors or a combination of it, in all the elements found inside the shop –  gray, black and light blue. The left wall gives you the feel of nature with the lush vegetation composed of artificial vines but looks real from a distance, hanging from a plant box as the centerpiece. The opposite wall is a collection of some framed short quotations and potted flowers giving the wall,  a dynamic appeal.

It has a high-counter table overlooking the busy street of Capitan Sabi Extension, an ideal place for some who want to pass the time while eating their favorite nacho fries and blue lemonade and at the same time observing people come and go outside. There is a large black upholstered sofa that can accommodate a big group and at the other corner are two four-seater big tables with plenty of legroom.

While only a little more than one week, Muncher Café has already other plans to meet the demands of its customers. It will regularly add new food items on the menu to allow variations and will encourage techies to give their orders in advance via their Facebook page to shorten the waiting time of the ordered food.
